Sorry for the huge gap...

I wanted to say sorry for not posting anything for the last 6 months. I will be posting more often soon. In the meantime, here's a very interesting video of a set of twins.

Amber's Birthday!

Amber's 26th birthday celebration was spent at Medieval Times in Buena Park, Ca. We enjoyed the knights and their competitive tournament while dining on some roasted chicken, bread, soup, pork ribs and coke and strudel. What more could you ask for? (Except for maybe a 300mm 2.8L lens; or this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/800557508-USE/Canon_2527A001_Super_Telephoto_1200mm_f_5_6L.html)

Amber gazes at the horses in their stalls.

We posed for a family portrait (by a complete stranger who offered to take a shot of us). One of us hasn't quite fine tuned their smile. Guess who?

Our Knight that we were assigned to/rooting for was the red knight. He ended up being the best knight in all of the competitions for the evening. He was very skilled and had a certain charm about him. You could tell that he enjoyed his job. In this picture, the story is unfolding more about the king's son.

Our Knight.

The king for whom our knight performed.

Our valiant knight threw carnations to the ladies on their team who we were rooting them on.

Amber caught a flower that our knight threw to her.

S.D. Car Show

Last week we went to the San Diego car show. We had a fun time--especially Josiah! Hannah had a good time too, but she stayed in her stroller most of the time.

Josiah used to think that every truck was a "hummer".

*This is not a sight you want to see while on the road

Josiah likes to say, "Speed, I am speed!".

Amber found her girly car.

I relived a moment or two

Overall, we had a great time as a family. It was fun to look at all the cars and sit in them and take pictures.

Merry Christmas!

I want to take this time to wish you all a merry Christmas. Merry Christmas! Hey, you know what drives me nuts sometimes? It's the phrase "happy holidays". I know people mean well, but it makes me want to get confrontational. "Oh, you mean Christmas?"! We have to be pc enough these days!

Anyway, I hope that you were blessed this year and were able to be a blessing.

btw, don't you just love how in this portrait (that I set on timer mode and then ran to sit down with the family) that Hannah is busy doing her own thing? No amount of coaxing or waving in front of her face helped. Believe me, we tried. Funny stuff. I love this 1.5 yr old girl! I think her looking down at the leaf she found (or whatever it is) adds character to the picture. She is in a wonderful discovery mode.

Steve and Theresa's Photoshoot

They looked so good together. We took these photos just a few days before their baby was born.

Mark's Photoshoot

The last dinner we had as a family with Mark was at Il Fornaio in Coronado. We had a great time there. They gave us all free desserts because the server accidently forgot Deborah's drink and my veal was overcooked. They definitely made up for it.

I did a photoshoot with Mark at the Omni hotel in San Diego. Beautiful place.

Mark, you look like a model in most of these shots!

Star Wars Episode III?

I took this picture at Seaport Village in S.D.

First post to first blog...ever!

This blog exists for the sole purpose of sharing. Hopefully I can keep this on the front burner as I put up new posts.

Well, my good friends just had their first baby (a boy) and they asked if I could do a photoshoot for them. I had so much fun. My wife Amber helped in so many ways--holding lights exactly where I wanted them, helping to arrange the models, giving new ideas (she's the best!). This was an amazing time where Mom, Dad and Baby came together in many intimate and beautiful ways. I think I had even more fun afterwards because there were so many good shots. This was one of them. Something cool happened with this photo. I posted this picture in a group on flickr called Blogging Baby http://www.flickr.com/groups/bloggingbaby/
They really liked the photo so much that they awarded me photo of day on Oct. 26 http://www.parentdish.com/2007/10/26/image-of-the-day-the-profile-of-true-love/

Then, they decided to give it a photo of the month award! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
